"The FairyGodmother Closet"

I have decided to launch a little idea that I have had for a few weeks. I usually don't use this for advertising or help, but I really feel this little idea may help so many.

I am currently serving in Young Women's, and recently we have had the talk about modesty and prom dresses. Seeming how I was not the best example, but yet I have MANY Young Women and others who ask me to borrow dresses for certain occasions like Valentines Dance.

I KNOW MANY of you personally have many Prom or old bridesmaid dresses sitting in your closet (or your parents closet) that no other younger siblings may be using. I would like to start a blog ""The FairyGodmother Closet"where any young women may come to my house and look at multiple dresses to borrow that night. I know many Young Women who cannot afford to buy a new dress every dance (and current economy), but would love to attend.

I know some of you (like myself) may be thinking with the NEW TIMES that modesty is very important to the future of young women that is why I would vow to make the dress modest and appropriate with the help of a seamstress or a jacket. I would only charge a small cleaning fee so we can re-use the dresses over and over.

If any of you would like to donate or for a small trade fee.. dresses to the Fairy Godmother Closet please leave a comment, and I will make arrangements to pick up the dress or shipping.

Also if may post a link of my Fairy Godmother blog to your blog so you can spread the word on your blog if you do not have any dresses to donate.

Hopefully together we can make sure every young women is modest at the prom!

I HAVE ONE!!! I actually have a bridesmaid dress that would work PERFECT for a dance. I think its a size four, and has NEVER been worn. Its pink. I would LOVE for someone to finally get to use it!

That is a great idea with the dresses. I will have to look and see what I have left. I sold a bunch of them a few years ago. I get my bows and the Stardust Sweeper baby botique. It's on 17th street in I.F. It's where the mini Bazaar used to be. They also have some in Rigby at a store called traditions. But I get most of them at the stardust sweeper. They are addicting. I'm so excited for you. By the way your little boy is so darn cute!

Hey Jiller, great idea. Mine are just sitting around, enjoying the dust. I'll have to find them, I think I know where they are.
